Impulce is built to help you spend less on impulse — it isn't built to collect more data than it needs to do that. This page explains what Impulce stores, why, and where it lives.
What Impulce stores
- Your check-ins, Pause Gate sessions, streaks, and Streak Shields
- The categories you choose to track and the prices you set for them
- Your goal duration and display name, if you set one
Where it lives
Your data is stored on your device and synced privately through your own iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit, the same way Notes or Reminders sync across your devices. Impulce does not run its own server that stores your personal spending data.
Account and sign-in
Impulce uses a third-party authentication provider to manage sign-in. That provider processes the minimum information needed to authenticate you (such as your email address) and does not receive your streak or spending data.
Purchases
Impulce Premium is a one-time purchase processed through Apple's App Store and a subscription-and-purchase management provider used only to verify your purchase. Neither Impulce nor that provider has access to your card details.
Notifications
Impulce can send local reminders — like a daily check-in nudge or a cooling-off timer alert — generated entirely on your device. These aren't sent through a third-party push or analytics service.
What Impulce doesn't do
- No ad networks, no ad tracking, no selling data to anyone
- No third-party analytics tracking your individual behavior
- No sharing of your spending data with other people or apps
Your data, your control
You can export your data at any time from Settings, and deleting the app removes what's stored locally. Since your data syncs through your own iCloud account, you're always in control of it the same way you are with any other app that uses iCloud.
